Applicable to: ActivPanel Elements Series

The ActivPanel uses industry standard High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. HDCP is a form of digital copy protection, which prevents copyrighted material being displayed on unsupported devices. When connecting a HDCP-enabled device to an unsupported digital connection, your video or audio content may not play. You may also see messages advising that you are connected to a monitor or device that does not support HDCP.

To connect your games console, DVD or Blu-ray player to the ActivPanel, please use the appropriate HDMI port on your ActivPanel.

NB: Remember to switch the panel’s source to the correct HDMI input after connecting your device.

To check which version of ActivPanel you are using, please consult article 1477.

To locate the HDMI ports on your model of ActivPanel, please refer to the User Guide.

Due to the way that HDCP works, you may need to connect your device and then turn the ActivPanel off and back on again, to play video and audio content.

If you have an image but no sound is coming out of the ActivPanel speakers, you may need to change the HDMI audio settings in your Blu-ray or DVD player. For example, try setting your player to PCM audio if it has this option.

Please consult the user guide of your DVD or Blu-ray player for information about display and audio settings if needed.
